Payment Status Journey
Pick a scenario. A payment's life has at least three separate checkpoints — technical receipt, instruction acceptance, and execution — before it ever reaches a bank statement. Most confusion about "what happened to my payment" comes from collapsing these into one event.
Version matters. Status codes here follow pain.002.001.03 and camt.054.001.02 — widely used versions, not the only ones in circulation. Reason codes like AM04 or AC04 come from the ISO 20022 external code sets, which banks apply with varying strictness.
