The questions worth asking while you still have leverage — before the contract is signed, not after go-live. Check off what you've confirmed; nothing here is saved or sent anywhere.

Data & migration

How is historical data migrated — an automated tool, or manual re-entry?
Who validates the migrated data before cutover — the vendor, or you?
If you leave this vendor later, can you export everything, and in what format?

Integration

Does it support your actual bank channels (SFTP, SWIFT, EBICS, APIs) out of the box, or through a partner?
Who builds and maintains the ERP integration — the vendor, you, or a third party?
What's the real cost of adding one more bank connection after go-live?

Implementation & support

Is there a dedicated implementation team, or does it hand off to standard support right after go-live?
What's the guaranteed response time for a production issue — in writing, not just spoken?
Who did the reference customers actually use to implement — an internal team, the vendor, or a systems integrator?

Pricing & contract

Is pricing per user, per bank connection, per module, or flat — and what triggers a price increase?
What's the minimum contract term, and what does exiting early actually cost?
Are new features included in the price, or do major upgrades cost extra?

Security & compliance

Where is your data hosted, and does that satisfy your company's data residency requirements?
What's the vendor's process when they have a security incident — will you be notified, and how fast?
Who holds the encryption keys — you, or the vendor?
